What time is Check-in and Check-out?

Check-in is from 2pm to 9pm.
Check-out is at 11am.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability on the day and cannot be pre-confirmed. If your room is ready before 2pm, we’ll happily check you in early. If not, you’re welcome to drop your bags and head out to explore.

Late check-out may be available on the day, subject to availability. To ensure a calm experience for arriving guests, facilities are not available after check-out.

Can you arrange airport transfers?

Yes, we can arrange airport transfers for you.
We recommend booking this in advance, especially for late arrivals.

I’ll be arriving late - do you have 24 hour reception?

No, we do not have 24-hour reception.

Guests arriving after 9pm are required to arrange a transfer through us. Our driver will meet you, bring you to the property, and take you to your room. Without a pre-arranged transfer, access to the property after 9pm is not possible.

What is the difference between your rooms?

We offer three room types at Sejati:

  • Sejati Suites – our beautifully designed entry rooms, with a calm, refined aesthetic
  • Garden Suites – ore spacious, set amongst lush greenery
  • Pool Suites – our most spacious rooms, with private plunge pools, available in mezzanine or ground floor

All rooms are designed with a calm, minimal aesthetic and thoughtful details throughout.

Adults only? Or can we bring children?
Sejati is an adults-only property, however we welcome guests aged 13 and over.
Can we order food at Sejati?
Yes. We serve daily breakfast, plus an all-day dining menu with drinks and cocktails.
We are a group. Can we book the whole property?
Yes. Sejati has 10 rooms and is available for exclusive bookings, including retreats and special occasions. Please contact us directly for more details.
Is Wifi free? Does it work in the rooms?

Yes. We have complimentary high-speed fibre WiFi (400mbps) available throughout all rooms and shared areas.

Is Smoking Permitted?

Smoking and vaping are not permitted in rooms and dining areas.

Smoking is allowed in outdoor garden areas only. A deep cleaning fee (minimum one night’s stay) applies if this policy is not followed.

Do you have twin rooms/twin beds?

No, all rooms are configured with king-size beds.

What power sockets do you have?
220V electricity. Rooms include both local (two-pin round) and international sockets.
Can I rent a scooter?
Yes, we can recommend trusted local providers. Just ask us.
Can I get a massage at Sejati?

We can arrange professional in-room massages. Please contact us. There are also several excellent spas nearby, see our guide for recommendations.

How far is Bingin beach?
Bingin Beach is around a 10 to 15 minute walk from Sejati, including stairs down to the beach.

While the beachfront buildings were removed in 2025, the beach itself is still open and remains a great spot for surfing and swimming.

What's included in my stay?

For direct bookings, your stay includes daily breakfast, tea, coffee and drinking water, high-speed WiFi, Sensatia Botanicals amenities, daily housekeeping, and 10% tax.

A 10% tax and 7% service charge apply to any additional purchases during your stay.

Do I need Travel Insurance?

Yes, absolutely. We strongly recommend all travelers to Indonesia have comprehensive travel insurance covering accident, injury, and any costs related to cancellations or changes.

We do not take responsibility for cancellations or changes without insurance. Guests without insurance are fully responsible for any associated costs.

Where is Sejati Located?

Sejati is located in Bingin, in the Uluwatu area on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula.

The area is known for its limestone cliffs, surf beaches, and relaxed pace, with a mix of cafes, restaurants and beach spots nearby.

How far is the Beach from Sejati?

Bingin Beach is around a 10 to 15 minute walk from Sejati, including stairs down to the beach.

While some of the beachfront structures have recently been removed, the beach remains open and is still a great spot for surfing and swimming.

How do I get around?

We recommend having transport to explore the area.
Scooters, private drivers and taxis are all easy to arrange, and we’re happy to assist.

Are there restaurants/cafes in walking distance?

Yes. The closest restaurant, Gooseberry, is just 50m from Sejati. It’s one of our favourites, with excellent food, air-conditioned indoor seating, and a beautiful al fresco setting.

Around 150m further, our Balinese neighbours run a small local warung serving simple Indonesian food and snacks. Just beyond that, Elok Cafe is a great spot for coffee.

Bingin village, with a wider range of cafes and restaurants, is around a 10-minute walk or a quick scooter /taxi ride.

Food and Drink Recommendations?
There are plenty of great cafes and restaurants in the area, from casual local warungs to more elevated dining.

Activities / Things to do?

Uluwatu is known for its beaches, surf, and cliffside scenery.

From Bingin and Balangan to Padang Padang, Uluwatu, Nyang Nyang and more there are countless beaches to explore, along with beach clubs, sunset spots, and local warungs. For more ideas, see our Bali Guides.

Is there a Yoga Studio or Gym near by Sejati?

Yes. La Tribu Yoga and Santai Recovery (sauna, hot and cold pools) are both within 80m. For a full workout, Bali Training Centre (BTC) and Bambu Gym are within a 10-15 minute walk (or a few mins by car/scooter).

When is the best time of year to visit?

Uluwatu is a year-round destination.

Dry season (June to August) is the busiest time, with sunny days, cooler evenings, and consistent surf.

Wet season (December to March) is quieter, with lush landscapes and occasional rain, often in the evenings.

Shoulder seasons (April to May, September to November) are a great balance, with fewer crowds and generally good weather.

Do I need a VISA to enter Indonesia?

Most travellers are eligible for a Visa on Arrival (IDR 500,000), valid for 30 days and extendable one time. We recommend purchasing online before arrival.

Before travelling, please ensure you have a valid visa, a passport with at least 6 months’ validity, and a return or onward ticket.

What should I pack?

We recommend travelling with a reusable water bottle and shopping bag, Bali is actively reducing single-use plastic. Drinking water is widely available to refill, and we provide it at Sejati.

Other essentials:

  • Tampons
  • Sea-sickness tablets
  • Universal adaptor (not essential at Sejati)
  • Small gifts or souvenirs from home

How do I get a local SIM card?

To stay connected in Bali, we recommend Telkomsel for the best coverage across the island.

SIM cards can be purchased online before arrival, at the airport, or locally once you’re here.

Where can I get cash or exchange money?

ATMs and money changers are easy to find across Bali.

ATMs are available on arrival at the airport. For better exchange rates, we recommend changing money outside the airport.

Can I drink the Tap Water in Bali and is Ice Safe?

Tap water is not safe to drink unless specifically filtered and confirmed.

Filtered drinking water is widely provided. Ice is safe in reputable cafes and restaurants.

What language is spoken in Bali

The official language of Indonesia is Bahasa Indonesia. Bali also has its own local language, Bahasa Bali.

English is widely spoken in tourist areas, however not everyone speaks English, so it’s important to be respectful. Learning a few basic phrases is always appreciated and a great way to connect with locals.

How to get to Gili Islands & Nusa Lembongan from Bali?

Fast boats can be booked online or through an agent. Recommended operators include Rocky Fast Boats, Blue Water Express, Eka Jaya.

For Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida, boats depart from Sanur or Serangan.

For the Gili Islands, most boats depart from Padang Bai (around 2 to 3 hours from Bingin). The boat journey is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

For day trips, pick-up is usually around 6:30am, returning early evening.

Travel within Bali
Getting around Bali is easy. Taxis and private drivers are widely available and affordable.

Scooter or car rental is also a good option if you prefer flexibility. Please not you need an international license to drive in Indonesia.
